Online gambling is a big business these days, with new partnerships happening all the time as software companies look to expand into new markets. One recent deal that caught my eye was between game developer BGaming and Slovakia’s state lottery operator Tipos.
BGaming is a widely known company in the field of iGaming. They have made quite a name for themselves with popular slots like Alien Fruits, Wild Cash, and Bonanza Billion — the latter apparently being the first ever “cascading reel” game, whatever that means! As for Tipos, they run the national lottery in Slovakia so they clearly have a big local customer base to offer a partner.
The deal itself allows BGaming to break into the Slovakian market by integrating its games into Tipos’ online casino platform. And in return, Tipos gets to beef up its slots selection and hopefully attract more players. It’s a win-win from the sounds of it. BGaming’s CEO Marina was quoted as saying they’ve been trying to enter Slovakia for two years — so this partnership is a big step for them.
On the Tipos side, their casino manager Štefan highlighted BGaming’s “iconic” games as a great addition to their portfolio. And he seemed genuinely excited to add them to their list of partners.
This kind of local knowledge and distribution network is so valuable for a software company like BGaming trying to expand globally. They recently partnered up in Romania and Africa too, so they’re clearly on a mission! Slot players in Slovakia are sure to appreciate the increased game selection. I’ll have to keep an eye on how this plays out in this emerging Eastern European gambling market.
